Pune: ‘The State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Friday launched its Bharat Berry Services in Pune for its 50 lakh mobile customers. both pre-paid and post-paid. across Maharashtra.

Bharat Berry provides push mail and Personal Information Manager (PIM) sync services to BSNL’s mobile customers.

Announcing the launch, BSNL Pune. principal general manager K Mahendraand Bharat Berry CMD Ajay Data said that the cost of the services has been kept affordable for the benefit of customers. The services would be available for its 20 and 36 customers Model turned’actress Sayali Bhagit, who is the brand ambassador of Bharat Berry Services. was also present at the launch.

“In the push e-mail service. customers emails are pushed to their mobile phones from any of their email accounts. and they can see them. write and reply.” explained Mahendra.

This service works with corporate mails or any other mail accounts that a user has and the inbox is fully synchronised with the Bharat Berry server.

A Bharat Sanchar Nigam ltd. customer can avail this service using any mobile instrument unlike in Blackberry services for which the mobile handsets have been expensive.

The PIM sync is a service back-up of contacts. calender, notes, tasks etc stored in one’s mobile instrument which can be synchronised with the Bharat Berry server to make it available on one’s computer for viewing and
updation.

All the information can also be transferred to a new handset.

For enabling access to all services. including e-mails and PIM sync. users will be charged Rs 80 per month. while the individual services will be available for Rs 50 each per month.

To subscribe to this service. any existing BSNL. GSM mobile subscriber can send an SMS. ‘SUB BB’ to 51123 and follow basic steps to activate this service.
